The NCAT Candidates forum for the 2022 Victorian State Election – coming soon!
The online State Election 2022 Candidates Forum for Eltham, Yan Yean and Eildon, jointly hosted by Nillumbik Climate Action Team and Nillumbik Friends of the Great Forest, is almost upon us. This is an important opportunity to engage directly with our local candidates on issues that matter to us. Get your questions ready and be prepared for some lively discussion!
We have invited all Lower House candidates and MPs that are known to us to join us for the evening to talk about their policies and answer questions from the audience. Many of those candidates and MPs have accepted our invitation.
The evening will also feature two guest speakers – Sue McKinnon from Nillumbik Friends of the Great Forest, who will talk about the vital role that native forests play in mitigating the impact of climate change, and Anna Langford from Friends of the Earth, who will cover a range of climate issues, including state emissions targets, renewable energy and getting off gas. The event will be chaired by Cr Geoff Paine.
